Webinar 5: How to promote sustainability in sport events: Exploring Glasgow 24

Highlighting the crucial role of strong leadership commitment to sustainability, this discussion will delve into the World Indoor Athletics Championships Glasgow 24’s spirations and strategies to successfully meet the Athletics for a Better World (ABW) Standard. Developed by World Athletics and implemented from January 2024, this standard evaluates events on their sustainable delivery.

The event achieved platinum-level recognition – a remarkable feat considering the standard’s recent implementation. The webinar will explore its approach, which aligns with the six sections of the ABW Standard, reflecting the pillars of the World Athletics sustainability strategy.
